When I think of you Mary, the first thing that cones to my mind is your loving , shining smile. You were our first teacher of the Deaf and our saving grace. When we met you we had just arrived fron Italy where Fran was diagnosed with a severe hearing loss. We were distraught and confused, as most parents are , also because we were told that we couldn't speak Italian with  her and didn't know whether  she would ever speak any language properly. You  welcomed us with your big warm smile and immediately reassured us, telling us that with her hearing aids Francesca could learn to speak both Italian and English, which she eventually  did … Your  love for children shined  through everythjng you did and you left a deep mark on  all the children and families who had the privilege to receive your caring and loving support. We will be forever grateful for all you did for us. Your memory will live on in our hearts. Mary we loved you and we always will…❤️ RIP
